Sr.Jancy

Education: I did my B. Sc in Plant Biology and Bio technology from the University of Madras in Chennai, B. Ed in Pondicherry, B.Th in Bangalore.
Current Ministry: Headmistress of Cluny primary school Pondicherry.
Interests and hobbies: Interested in Counseling and Psychology. Want to make known Jesus to the people who come on my way. My hobbies are reading books, writing articles and stories and gardening.
What attracted you to religious life?
I was inspired to serve the people who have no one to care for them. When I was young I saw sisters reaching out to all kinds of people extending the Love of God so I wanted to be one like them to be closer to God and to serve His people.
Why did you choose the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny?
Deeply inspired by life of Anne Marie Javouhey, the foundress of the congregation of sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny I decided to join the Cluny family. I also wanted to be a daring woman missionary like Anne Marie. The missionary dimension of Cluny sisters attracted me, as the international congregation sees the signs of the time to adhere to the Holy will of God.

Ministries since joining: Taking care of the elderly Sisters, vocation promotion and at present I am in charge of the aspirants at Pondicherry
Interests and hobbies:  Singing, dancing, reading books and learning languages
What attracted you to religious life? The life of St. Therese of the Child Jesus inspired me to be a religious.
Why did you choose the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny? Missionary dimension attracted me to St. Joseph of Cluny.

Entrance date and age at the time: I entered the Congregation on 9 June 2008 at the age of 18.
Education: Bachelor of Social Work
Ministries since joining: Pastoral, taking care of the elderly, working with women SHGs in Andhra Pradesh.
Interests and hobbies: Reading, writing, listening to music
. What attracted you to religious life? I studied in Missionary school the life of sisters very much attracted me especially my principal who is so tender and loving she inspired me to choose this life.
Why did you choose the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny? Since I have my relatives in different congregations I was confused to select where to go each one is calling to their own,  my Parish priest introduced Cluny never heard about it so I thought let me go where no relatives so I chose Cluny.
